Scorecard for Travel and Expense Management

The Challenge

A retail bank was required to provide a full view of travel and expense activity to its budget controllers, so that they could see how the behaviour of their travellers impacted their bottom line. However, travel data was highly-fragmented throughout the business, with the total number of controllers exceeding 2,000. 

The Solution 

PredictX deployed its Single Sign-on utility, coupled with the Scorecard module. This created a configurable dashboard that looked at all elements of T&E, and pushed attention to the areas required by the travel team. Each Scorecard consisted of the same template, but was populated with data determined by the Single Sign-on utility. This interfaced directly with the HR structure of the business, updated daily and automatically by API. This meant that travel and expense activity could be accurately apportioned based on employees and cost centres, and that each controller had full visibility - but only into their area. 

The Impact

The deployment of this solution allowed the travel team to:

• Focus on their areas of value-add such as global policy optimisation and strategic sourcing.
• Conduct automated secure engagement with budget-controlling stakeholders.
• Perform their own analytics at a corporate level, allowing them to target their expertise at areas where there were value-added opportunities for further engagement.
